Message for the World -

On October 7th, 2005 Equinox was asked,

What do we need to know right now?

EQ: If we were to tell thee what we believe would be abundantly important for thee to know right now it would be this thing: The thing is that too many entities upon Terra believe that knowledge is gained in simple little bites. They hear something and they believe it, but they do not delve to know it. Dost thou understand? They believe what they hear all around them, what others tell them, what they see upon their televisions, what they hear upon their radios, what their neighbor, mother, boss tells them. But the majority of thee upon Terra never check closely, never see if what they have just learned needs expansion or is untrue. And so thy world continues in ignorance. And if it is one of thy purposes upon Terra to grow and to learn, then when thee are doing this are thee meeting thy commitments to thy planet? Are thee meeting thy commitments to thy soul? Or are thee taking the easy way by remaining ignorant? Then thee do not also need to take responsibility. So we would ask of thee to begin to examine that which thee hear, that which thee see, in more depth and become a learned entity instead of one that is only barely cognizant of what is truth. Dost thou understand?

It sounds like you’re talking about the difference between trivia and studying something in more depth.

EQ: No, it is more than just trivia. How many entities here after watching, let us say, what thee call documentaries on a subject actually go and get reference books to see if the documentary had truth or was filled with lies? Checking other what thee call sources to find out or do thee just accept? How many entities who were taught something within their schools ever re-check to see if those pieces of data are any longer truths? We believe many of thee were educated in thy youth to believe that thy cavalry were righteous in their destruction of thy Native American peoples, were thee not?

Yes.

EQ: Is it truth?

No.

Yes and no.

EQ: Good! Very good!

It’s a partial truth and a myth.

EQ: And are there not many entities upon Terra that believe partial truths and myths as truth?

Absolutely.

EQ: And why is that?

Lazy?

EQ: They have not taken upon themselves to investigate. So even in thy educational system thee are taught to accept partial truths. How thee be consumers of life if thee do not know what thee are consuming. So, thee are given data every single day, are thee not? But if that data goes unexamined, then thee are believing partial truths and myths, and these are what thee are using to make thy decisions from, to live thy lives through. Is this not so? Is this a wise consumer?

I really like the idea of everyone thinking more like a scholar. But I wonder what areas of knowledge do we need to most look into, because they’re infinite, of course.

EQ: Well, we were asked to say what thee needed to know right now. Are thee not involved in a war?

Yes.

EQ: And this war is not just in a foreign land, is it?

No.

EQ: And thee are consuming information about both of these. Thee are consuming information about disease. Thee are consuming information about terrorism. And most of these thee are consuming from the media, is this not so? And what dost thou know about the media?

It’s ratings driven.

EQ: It is an alarmist organization, is it not? It creates ratings by creating alarm, fear, disorientation. And it is often propaganda ridden, is this not so?

Yes.

EQ: But, how many of thee use more than one or two sources for thy data on what is happening in thy world?

Very few of us.

EQ: This is just one thing. How about the ecology? How many entities know anything of geology? But they know there are earthquakes. How many entities know anything of climatology or meteorology? But thee know there is destructiveness in thy weather now. How many entities know of drought, of crops? What has happened is that entities upon Terra have become specialized beings. Dost thou understand?

Yes.

EQ: Thee only chose to know what thee need this moment. So when an emergency occurs like that which took place in thy New Orleans, thee are vastly unprepared, are thee not? We know that this will make thee laugh, but we will say it: Are thee prepared for a hurricane here? Any of thee?

No.

EQ: But is it not possible that thee could be somewhere where thee were in one? And thee are not prepared because thee have become specialists. Thee perhaps are specialists in how to live in warmth. So thee carry bottles of water and have air conditioning and know to wear clothing and know to shade thy heads and to wear sunscreen. Is this not so? But will that help thee in a hurricane? Will that help thee in a snow storm? Is it possible that thee might have to experience either of these?

Sure.

EQ: Thee are unprepared for life because most of thee stop learning once thee finish the process of what thee call education. And then thee become specializing in half truths and myths. And if there be anything that we would like thee to know right now is that thy lives should be filled with information and learning and excitement about it. For the more that thee know, the more thy world works. Not the other way around.

The more we know, the more the world works.

EQ: Thy world works.

Could you explain that a little bit more?

EQ: If thee are being driven by myth and illusion, half-truths, when thee finally understand that the half-truths and myths and illusions have driven thee, where are thee? Usually in a very bad situation or a very bad place, is that not so? Now, if instead thee knew what was truth and knew how to survive that truth, then if that truth should happen, then are thee prepared? Dost thy world work then? We will give a perfect example for thee are all living it. Wasn’t it true, not that very long ago, that entities believe that they could go to work for a place and work until they retired. And that that place would treat them well, have retirement for them once they retired as long as each party kept their commitment. Was this not a truth?

Yes.

EQ: Is it still?

No.

EQ: And are there many entities still deluding themselves that it is. And when they retire and find out their retirement income was spent or the company is bankrupt or right before their retirement they are fired, they seem shocked don’t they? It won’t happen to them even though it has happened to so many, so many before them. Because they chose to abdicate the responsibility for their safety to another. When thee do this, when thee exist in ignorance, then thee exist in situations that can not work in thy favor. But when thee work through knowledge, thee can always make preparations for differing choices. Dost thou understand? This is all we are saying. Take responsibility for thy own perfect world.
